COMPETITIVE SQUADS

Bronze Squad 
Aim 
Metro & State qualifiers, who score points at State competitions
Requirement

10 yrs & under commitment of 4 times per week
11 yrs & over – commitment of at least 5 sessions or more per week

Be a member of SOPAC Swim Team

Training Time 
Tue & Thu  5.00am - 7.00am 
Mon -Wed & Fri  4.00pm - 6.00pm (4:00pm - 4:30pm - dry land) 
Sat 6.00am - 8.00am

Silver Squad 
Aim  Metro, State 11-14 years
Requirement

Min of 5 sessions per week
Max of 7 sessions per week
Be a member of SOPAC Swim Team

Training Time 
Mon, Tue, Thu & Fri 5.00am - 7.00am 
Mon - Fri 4.00pm - 6.30pm (4:00pm - 4:30pm - dry land)
Sat 6.00am - 8.30am

Gold Squad 
Aim  Metro, State & National qualifiers 14-18 years & over. (18 years & over for athletes who do not qualify for ETC)
Requirement

Min of 8 sessions per week
Max of 10 sessions per week

Training Time 
Mon, Tue, Thu & Fri 5.00am - 7.00am 
Mon - Fri 4.00pm - 6.30pm (4:00pm - 4:30pm - dry land)
Sat 6.00am - 8.30am

Movement from Squad to Squad is on coaches recommendation only

Enrolment

  • All SOPAC Squad swimmers must enrol at the Swim School Office prior to participating in any training sessions.
  • Fees are charged by monthly direct debit or three months payment upfront so there is no requirement to re-enrol each term or for the holiday periods.
  • You child will remain in our program until you cancel his/her attendance.
  • Cancellations must be made by notifying the Swim School Office and coaches through a letter.
  • Enrolment forms are available from the Swim School Office.Swimmers and parents will be issued with an entry pass, which will grant access to the Centre on your child’s designated training days and times.

Payments

Credit for weeks not attended may be granted, depending on circumstances.

Credit for weeks not attended may be applied for in the following circumstances:

  • Illness where a Doctors certificate is provided.
  • Family holidays of one week or more where one months prior notice is given
  • Extenuating circumstances such as study leave or personal reasons

Please discuss this with office staff. Circumstances that qualify will be at the sole discretion of the Aquatics Supervisor.
