SOPAC SWIM TEAM (Masters)

The masters’ component of the swimming club’s mission is to promote and encourage swimming, fitness and friendship.

The club is a non-profit organisation with all funds raised being reinvested into the club for the benefit of its members.

SOPAC Swim Team is based at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre is affiliated with Swimming NSW and AUSSI Masters Swimming Australia and is a member of the NSW branch - http://www.aussimastswimnsw.org.au/

The club competes in swim club race meet each month and club membership entitles swimmers to compete against other clubs in Club meets hosted by other NSW Aussi clubs, State Masters and National Masters and International Masters Championships. At each of our swim club meets, we have 25m, 50m & 100m races.

Our aim is to develop and encourage all ages of adult swimmers.



REGISTRATION AND AUSSI MASTERS NSW CAPITATION FEE

Special on memberships from 1 April until 31 August 2008 - $75 membership valid to the end of 2008.

Masters swimmers must have reached the age of twenty (20) years of age. Membership fees shall fall due on the first day of January of each year.

Current club fees payable is $95 for the calendar year which incorporates the Aussi registration fee for 2008 of $33.00 (National) + $27.00 (NSW) = $60.00. The remaining goes to the SOPAC Swim Team for access to race nights.

Please fill in a Membership Application Form and note that swimmers must show proof of age when joining the club. All registered members could be asked to help with officiating at carnivals and, if inclined, qualify as a technical official (time keeping, recorder, starter, referee).

SOPAC Swim Club Race Nights 2008 Winter program are on Friday nights -

Masters welcome to compete but cards must be in by 6.30pm on the Thursday before the club night.

Cost is $4 on the night and you can enter 3 events per night.

 The club came 26th out of the 42 competing clubs.

ADULT SQUADS

Adult swim squad sessions cater for swimmers who wish to improve their fitness and stroke technique. Classes depend on lane/instructor availability.
