UPDATE Friday 8 October: CAPITAL WORKS. The Aquatic Centre Training Pool and Leisure Pools will be closed to early February 2022. There will be no General Recreational swimming, Lap Swimming and Learn to Swim during these works.
 
VENUE REOPENING UPDATE: Friday 8 October 2021. The Aquatic Centre will reopen from Monday 18 October. In line with the NSW Government Public Health Order the Aquatic Centre will reopen to only fully vaccinated people and those with medical exemptions to attend NSWIS/SNSW swimming squad, NSWIS diving, NSWIS water polo training, Health Club Members, Fitness Passport Members and venue tenants. There will be no general recreational swimming, lap swimming and learn to swim.

Adult Classes

Program Update: Thursday 21 October 2021

We are excited to announce the commencement of Adult squad sessions

  • Wednesday 5am - 7am, starting in early November
  • Tuesday 6.30pm - 7.45pm, to be confirmed

Adult Squads is an advanced training program. All students must be able to swim 3km in one session and be proficient in all four strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly). Adult Learn to swim will commence in early February 2022.

Beginner

This class is designed for swimmers who may have a fear of the water and are not confident to submerge. The aim is to develop water confidence and teach basic swimming skills.

Intermediate

The aim of the class is for students to further develop their swimming strokes and start to establish knowledge on breathing techniques and arm strokes.

Advanced

The aim of the class is for swimmers to develop stroke technique and distance with all swimming strokes.

It is never too late to learn! All ages and all levels. The Swim School conducts friendly and relaxed classes for beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. Learn to swim classes feature the development of water confidence, safety skills and basic strokes. Intermediate and advanced classes include stroke correction, breathing techniques and improved fitness.

Duration: 45 minute class

Class Numbers: 6 per class (Beginner), 7 per class (Intermediate) & 8 per class (Advanced)

Cost: $20 per lesson

Squads

Adult swim squad sessions cater for swimmers who wish to improve their fitness, skills and stroke technique while working towards long term goals.
