Why is Swim School going Direct Debit

SOPAC Swim School has made the decision to move all Swim School Members to the Direct Debit payment system by January 2018 (Term 1 2018). This system will allow all bookings to be perpetual, easing the enrolment process and upfront financial burden for Swim School Members.

What are the benefits of Direct Debit

All Swim School Students will be enrolled on a perpetual basis. Student enrolment can only be ceased with the completion of a Cancellation Form. This will mean that term enrolments and upfront payment will no longer be required.

How do I cease my Swim School enrolment and stop my Direct Debit payments

Cancellation is simple. A Cancellation Form will be available from the Swim School Office or the Aquatic Centre website ( Simply complete the form and return it to the Swim School Office. All cancellations require two weeks notice.

How does it work

Once you have completed and returned the Direct Debit Agreement, you will only be required to pay the first one - two lessons of Term 3. Then starting from Friday 28 July your nominated account or credit card will be debited on a fortnightly basis. Lessons will remain term based and students will not be charge for School Holiday periods or Public Holidays.

Can I choose my debit date?

No. SOPAC Swim School have created a Direct Debit calendar to assist members identify debit dates.

What happens if my debit is rejected

Currently SOPAC Swim School does not charge rejection fees. You will be notified by either SMS or email and the outstanding payment can be paid online or on your next visit to the Centre.

Is there a service charge on credit cards

No. SOPAC Swim School Direct Debit does not have service charges attached to the fortnightly fee payment. Direct Debit can be set up through a nominated Bank Account OR a MasterCard or Visa Card. We do not accept American Express.

Do I still get my two make up lessons in Term 3

Because we are in the process of moving students over to the Direct Debit system Swim School will maintain the Make Up Lesson Policy for Term 3 2017.

What if I do not want to sign up to Direct Debit

Direct Debit will remain optional for current customers only for Term 3 and Term 4 2017. From Term 1 2018 Direct Debit will be compulsory for all Swim School members.

What do I need to do

It’s simple, and our staff are here to help. Download the Direct Debit Agreement Form and return it to the Swim School Office or complete the form at the Swim School Office, pay the one - two week lesson fee and you’re all done.
