Pre-book your parking

Pre-booked tickets can not be purchased on the same day as the event. 

The pre-book parking system closes at 11:59 pm the day before an event.  

If you do not receive a confirmation email with your pre-booked parking ticket, please check your junk/spam folder. If you cannot find your ticket, please email us at parking@sopa.nsw.gov.au.

Printing your parking confirmation

You need to show your parking confirmation barcode at the gate to enter the car park. This can be printed or shown on a digital device e.g. your smartphone. 

Refunds

No refund or exchange on any ticket except as required by law and as otherwise specified by the seller.

All parking ticket purchases on the Authority’s website are final and cannot be cancelled once confirmed. Please select tickets carefully as we do not provide refunds where you may change your mind about attending an event, or where you can no longer attend on that date.

Refunds due to cancelled events

For those seeking a refund of pre-booked parking for a cancelled event prior to the advertised gate opening time, please forward the same email you received confirming your booking, back to parking@sopa.nsw.gov.au.

Note: Your refund will be processed in order and may take up to 14 business days. 

Casual parking for $7 per hour up to a maximum of $35 per day in our car parks is available. If you are unable to pre-book your parking, please pay at the machines located within the car park prior to exiting. Pay and display street parking is also available at $7 per hour up to a maximum of $35 per day along Herb Elliot Avenue, Dawn Fraser Avenue and Showground Road.

There are free, time-limited on-street parking spaces available within the town centre including along Olympic Boulevard, Murray Rose Avenue, Dawn Fraser Avenue, Figtree Drive, Herb Elliot Avenue, Showground Road, Grand Parade and Parkview Drive.  

Street parking may not always be available during major* events due to road closures in place. You can find out more about road closures for a particular date on our interactive map.

Changed parking conditions in the parklands

Sydney Olympic Park is changing the parking conditions for parkland areas to improve the experience for visitors and to support the ongoing management of the parklands.

From June 2025, there will be new parking conditions in Wentworth Common, the Brickpit and the Archery Centre. 

These conditions have already taken effect at Bicentennial Park, Blaxland Riverside Park and Parklands Junction P5b (URBNSURF) and P5c (Pump Track and BMX Track, excluding major event days).

Hours of operation:

• Bicentennial Park: 8am – 6pm, Mon-Sun and Public Holidays 
• Blaxland Riverside Park: All Hours, Mon-Sun and Public Holidays 
• P5b (URBNSURF): All Hours, Mon-Sun and Public Holidays 
• P5c (next to Pump Track and BMX Track): On major event days, P5c is an event car park. Boom gates are in operation and flat rate fees apply. Outside of major event days, the boom gates are lifted and metered parking is in operation. All Hours (excluding major events), Mon - Sun and Public Holidays.

You must register your vehicle plate number to receive the first 2 hours of parking for free, then a parking fee will apply:

$3 per hour fee on weekdays, and
$5 per hour fee on weekends.

On major event days, P5c is an event car park. Boom gates are in operation and flat rate fees apply.
