These squads are held during school terms and are suitable for swimmers who have completed Learn to Swim and wish to develop their endurance and stroke consistency.

Progressing to competitive squads. All competitive strokes and racing skills will be developed and endurance and speed will be improved. Joining the SOPAC Swim Team and entering interclub and specific race meets is possible.
Frequency: 2 - 3 times a week

A non-competitive fitness squad for swimmers aged between 12 - 18 years of age wishing to maintain a healthy active lifestyle whilst further developing their stroke techniques. Swimmers also have the opportunity throughout the term to develop skills for their school swimming carnival. Swim Fit is divided into 3 different levels:
Swim Fit One: 6.30pm - 7.45pm
For swimmers new to “squad training” and not yet proficient in all 4 strokes. Swimmers generally swim between 1000m and 1200m per session with repeat lengths of between 25m and 50m.
Swim Fit Two: 6.30pm - 8.00pm
For swimmers competent in all 4 strokes and have an understanding of starts, turns and reading the pace clock. Swimmers generally swim between 1400m and 1800m per session with repeat lengths of 50m and 100m.
Swim Fit Three: 6.30pm - 8.00pm
For swimmers competent in all 4 strokes and in their starts and turns. Swimmers are expected to read the pace clock and generally swim between 1800m and 2400m per session with repeat lengths beginning at 50m and up to 200m.
Frequency 1 - 2 times a week
Cost Per Class: $16.50
Three sessions per week: 50% off the third session
